Separate the types you generate
Passenger and light-truck tires often make up a compact, steady stream. Commercial truck tires are larger and heavier, while tractor and other off-road tires can vary substantially in size and condition.
Record tire types separately when estimating volume. A count alone may not describe the space or handling needs of a mixed pile.
Ask about acceptance before staging
Tell the hauler whether the tires are loose, mounted, damaged, unusually large or mixed with other material. Confirm whether the provider can handle each type and whether there are special access or loading needs.
Do not assume that a service designed for passenger tires will accept every specialty tire. Confirming up front can prevent a partial pickup or a second trip.
Use the information to set a better schedule
Track how quickly each category accumulates and review the pattern after several pickups. Some locations may need routine passenger-tire service and a separate plan for infrequent large tires.
Share the profile with your recycling partner so the service plan reflects actual operations and available routes.
