Choosing a Tire Pickup and Recycling Partner

· By Stricco International LLC

The right commercial tire partner should be able to explain the service, the limits and the paperwork. A few practical questions can help a business compare options before committing.

Confirm the service fits your tires and locations

Describe the tire types, expected volume, pickup locations and access conditions. Ask which tire categories the provider can collect and whether large or specialty tires require separate planning.

Confirm service coverage and route availability for each address rather than assuming one agreement automatically includes every site.

Ask how pickup and closeout work

Discuss scheduling, rescheduling, site contacts, estimated quantities and the documents supplied after removal. Ask who to contact if the actual load differs from the plan.

For cross-state service, verify that the parties understand which state requirements apply. Georgia EPD and South Carolina DES publish current forms and hauler guidance.

Look for clear communication

A provider should give straightforward answers about accepted loads, pricing, timing and documentation. Written service details reduce misunderstandings for both the generator and the pickup team.

Keep a copy of the agreed scope and review it when your volume, sites or tire types change.
